September 4, 2020. Shacman officially launched in Mexico its range of trucks with compressed and liquefied natural gas (CNG/LNG) engines that generate fuel savings of up to 40%, as well as a maximum range of 1,200 kilometers.

Carlos Pardo, CEO of Shacman Mexico, indicated that “entering the Mexican market in this new normal is challenging, but with an offer of natural gas trucks that provide fuel savings above the market is a differentiator that will place us as important players; we will bring a tangible stimulus to motor transport entrepreneurs, because fuel means up to 35% of their operation for them”.

The portfolio that the Asian company introduces to the country is made up of the L3000 and X3000 models, with both natural gas and diesel engines, to which it integrates its wide application platform, covering all the needs of the truck market in classes’ six to eight; coupled with the state-of-the-art technology in the following systems: safety, fatigue, anti-tipping, remote braking, among others.

Shacman México will begin assembling its trucks in the state of Hidalgo starting in November, and estimates to sell 5,000 units in the first five years as part of its strategy to achieve leadership in the natural gas heavy truck sector.

As far as after-sales service is concerned, the company pointed out that its added value will be its Uptime guarantee, the only one of its kind, by having 100% of the truck spare parts in its central warehouse, strategically located to reach any point of the country in less than 48 hours.
