May 26, 2025. From May 14, 2025, Transgourmet Deutschland GmbH & Co. will supply biogas trucks to all its customers from its headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, in a particularly climate-friendly manner, under the motto “Hamburg is getting greener.”
The entire truck fleet in Hamburg, consisting of 40 vehicles, will run on biogas instead of diesel in the future. The green gas is produced from organic waste such as straw. It also produces up to 90% fewer CO2 emissions and significantly less particulate pollution, leading to a better climate balance and cleaner air.
The company has also built its own biogas filling station on site.
This project protects the environment and saves significant CO2 emissions, the equivalent of 190 car trips around the world.
Its facility is already one of the most climate-friendly, thanks to emission-free and energy-efficient construction technology: photovoltaic systems, green electricity procurement, waste heat recovery, climate-friendly cooling, and green roofs.
