October 19, 2026. On November 19, France Mobilité Biogaz and its partners will host a morning dedicated to the decarbonization of passenger transport at the Beltoise circuit in Trappes, in the Yvelines department. Attendees will have the opportunity to test seven buses and coaches powered by Bio-CNG (compressed natural gas derived from biomass). As the event takes place on a closed circuit, the vehicles can be driven with a standard Class B driver’s license. This allows operations directors, fleet managers, and decision-makers—who commission vehicles even if they do not drive them on a daily basis—to participate in the test sessions.
In addition to the test drives, the morning will feature three working sessions. The first addresses the procurement of Bio-CNG, analyzing pricing mechanisms and the optimization of supply costs—a topic that has gained significant importance due to the volatility of gas prices.
The second session focuses on the biomethane sector itself, covering the entire value chain from the anaerobic digestion of waste to the vehicle fuel tank. The third session addresses maintenance and safety, with the explicit goal of dispelling common misconceptions that still deter some operators—particularly concerns regarding pressurized storage and the specific requirements for workshop facilities.
The event will bring together manufacturers, energy companies, transport operators, and institutional representatives. It is part of a series of meetings organized by the association to help structure demand, at a time when the sector is seeking to secure commercial opportunities amidst the rise of battery-electric buses in public transport tenders.
