Ministry of Energy reactivates vehicle conversion to natural gas in seven regions of Peru

July 10, 2020. The Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru, through the Social Energy Inclusion Fund (FISE), reactivated the BonoGas Vehicle program that will allow users in seven regions of the country to access financing for the conversion to natural gas of their vehicles, with an attractive interest rate to promote the use of gaseous fuel in transportation.

Those interested should initiate the corresponding management in the branches of the credit entities that participate in the BonoGas Vehicle program, located in Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Junín, Ica, Lima and Callao, where there are currently natural gas service stations.

Through BonoGas Vehicle, the user accesses financing of up to 5 years, with a low interest rate and flexible payment of installments, through credit entities or during the refilling of natural gas at the service station.

The conversion of vehicles to natural gas will be carried out in strict compliance with health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of the coronavirus among users and workers in authorized workshops that carry out these activities.

Currently, FISE is working to strengthen, in the short term, the BonoGas Vehicle Program, in order to optimize the financing process for the conversion of vehicles of different categories through strategic alliances.

In this way, the Ministry promotes access to clean, economic and environmentally friendly energy, also contributing to improving the quality of life of more Peruvians.
