October 12, 2020. Hyundai India has launched two new Santro compressed natural gas (CNG) powered variants, Magna Executive and Sportz Executive.
The addition of these two variants isn’t the only change to the Hyundai Santro CNG line; the South Korean automaker has also discontinued the Magna and Sportz trims from the range. As for what’s on offer with the two new trims; the Magna Executive comes equipped with the same provisions as Magna CNG. The Sportz Executive CNG, on the other hand, loses some features that were previously available with the Sportz CNG trim.
So, with the Hyundai Santro Magna Executive CNG, buyers will get a two-din audio system, two speakers, manual HVAC, steering mounted controls, optional Bluetooth connectivity, etc. The Sportz Executive CNG variant gets the provisions of the Magna Executive and adds the following on top of it: Day/night inner rear view mirror, 7.0-inch touch screen infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, among other novelties.
The car comes powered by the same BS6-compliant 1.1-litre petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 58 bhp along with 85 Nm of peak torque in CNG mode. In petrol mode, the motor belts out 67 bhp and 99 Nm of torque. The CNG models are available with only a five-speed manual transmission.
