January 25, 2023. The Governor of the State of Nuevo León, Samuel García, gave the starting signal for the first 142 FOTON AUV buses that will be assigned to the different urban routes of the Mexican district. These are the first units of a total order of 400 vehicles.

The third most populous city in the country, Monterrey, is located in this state, and it is in these areas where units that work with cleaner energy are needed and these FOTON buses are powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), with a Cummins engine and Allison transmission, which guarantees its quality. The buses will help improve the quality of life of users with the comfort and safety that these vehicles offer for their daily commutes. The FOTON AUVs will help to comply with the Nuevo León mobility master plan, where 4.6 million users will benefit daily in the different metropolitan areas.

In addition, this order means reducing the environmental impact in the State, because with the buses you can reduce up to 87% of particulate matter (PM), 15% the emission of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and up to 100% of carbon monoxide.

FOTON’s transportation solutions are becoming a great ally for the governments of Mexico, which are relying on the quality of the vehicles to provide this type of option that works with more environmentally friendly energy.
