Regional Urban Transport incorporates ten buses powered by renewable gas

The addition of six more vehicles is expected before the end of the year as a prelude to the 2026 fleet renewal.

July 26, 2025. This July, the Regional Urban Transport (TUC) of Pamplona, Spain, incorporated ten new buses powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) with a Renewable Guarantee of Origin (GdO), which are already part of the TUC fleet. These units use the natural gas supply facility located in the Regional Urban Transport depot.

In addition, six new vehicles, also fueled by natural gas, are expected to be added later this year, as a step forward for the fleet renewal initially approved for 2026.

The ten new buses are Scania C 340 C B4x2EB buses, built by Castrosua, measuring 12 meters in length and with 92 seats (24 of which are seated). It should be noted that since the Pamplona Regional Association (MCP) approved the Second Plan for Less Polluting Energy of the TUC in 2021 for the gradual replacement of polluting buses, the MCP had already incorporated 25 vehicles powered by CNG with GdO.
