February 23, 2021. The Companhia de Gás do Ceará (CEGÁS), Brazil, will make available a credit of R$ 1,500 for the first 166 vehicle owners who register for the installation of a compressed natural gas (CNG) kit of 5th generation or higher, using new cylinders certified by the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO).
In view of the economy, between 35% and 50% per kilometer traveled, provided by the use of CNG in cars instead of liquid fuels, the measure aims to boost the productive activities of the State at this pandemic moment, since several companies can also use the fuel in their fleets, as well as taxi drivers and transportation app drivers.
The program will cover all the municipalities that make up the State of Ceará, and registrations will be made by sending the term of membership, available on the CEGÁS website.
The initiative is aimed at all vehicle owners, whether individuals or legal entities, who are licensed in the State of Ceará and who install the CNG kit during the term of the program. The bonus that will be awarded will not be cumulative with other existing initiatives launched by the natural gas distributor.
